The truth is probably more mundane, i.e. the colonialists didn't have much in the way of the possessions to begin with. However, the signs at The Old Stone House, which is run by the National Park House, make reference to such a tax.Kaminogehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07925637671913689331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2497220891386919340.post-77675255802770125832012-07-23T00:34:03.099+08:002012-07-23T00:34:03.099+08:00I looked up closet tax. I have a guidebook that mentions where they are, so hopefully I'll be able to locate them.

The $17 bowl of udon we saw was listed on the menu outside of a Japanese restaurant. Needless to say, we didn't go in. Last month we ate at a kaiten-zushi restaurant - one of those places where the sushi goes around on conveyor belts. The bill for the three of us came to over $50! I've gorged myself at those kinds of places in Japan on many occasions, and probably never paid more than $12 (for one person, based on current exchange rates). It's ridiculous the cachet that foodies here give ordinary Japanese food, and the prices that they're willing to pay for it.

I didn't have the tea eggs, but Amber enjoyed them.Kaminogehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07925637671913689331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2497220891386919340.post-91314696035852848022012-07-22T15:31:54.684+08:002012-07-22T15:31:54.684+08:00"I want to see the steps where Father Karras ..."I want to see the steps where Father Karras landed after jumping out of Linda Blair's bedroom window." Me too!
How was the taste of the Udon noodles and the tea eggs?
BTW, the only time I have ever seen DC Cupcakes (not really seen it, because I always flip to another channel. It's got to be the most boring show on earth) was here in Taiwan on Star World. The cable company I have is gradually getting bigger and bigger, and they now carry several Fox and NBC channels (of which Star World is a subsidiary).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15907060405795620941noreply@blogger.com
